Stocking Stuffers for College Students

Redhead Rendezvous Stocking Stuffers for College Students

Opening your stocking is one of the best parts of Christmas. It’s like the appetizer to a delicious meal. In my last post, I shared my Christmas wish list, and now I’m here to give my suggestions for stuffing stockings.

As a college student, I really appreciate day-to-day necessities I once took for granted. Socks and underwear may be a drag to get as a gift, but now I welcome them. Nothing would make me happier than receiving things like makeup wipes, contact solution, and tooth paste. But, no one would want to read a post on the top toothpaste for your college student, so I tried to spice up my list of stocking stuffers that college students will still put to good use. Keep reading to see what I suggest putting in your college student’s stocking.

Happy holidays! Christmas season is in full swing. I love this time of year. With my birthday falling exactly three weeks after Christmas, my wish list always doubles as my birthday list as well. Hopefully this post inspires you when shopping for friends and family, or prompts you to add some things to your own list. Keep reading to find out what I’m asking for this season.

Finals Week: Tips and Tricks

Finals Week: Tips and Tricks

It’s the dreaded time of year again: finals. This is my fifth go around with semester finals and by now, I feel like I have a routine. I’ll be the first to admit, freshman year I had no clue how to study or prepare. I am still working to bring my GPA up from my first year and a half in school. But the second half of sophomore year, I pulled it together and figured out how to do well in college. Now as a junior, I’m continuing to stay on top of my school work and set aside time to study.

Now, I’m by no means a straight 4.0 student, although I am working towards that. I’m not in engineering or business. I’m a communications major working towards a career in public relations. So, these tips might not work for everybody. However, I get a mix of A’s and B’s each semester and feel I have a good enough routine down to share my tips and tricks to master finals week. If you want to check out my college must-haves, you can find the post here. Keep reading to find out my tips and tricks to owning finals week.

College Survival Essentials

Redhead Rendezvous College Survival Essentials

The end of the semester is quickly wrapping up! I just wrote a post on coming home for Thanksgiving and now I’m a week away from winter break, meaning I’m almost halfway through my junior year. Finals are approaching, term papers are nearing their due dates, and every last point now counts. It’s crazy to think that in three short semesters, I’ll be done with college.

Since I’m over halfway done with my college career, by now I’ve figured out which items are absolute college essentials. I skipped basic essentials like food, water, and a bed, because that should be self-explanatory, but I also didn’t include a laptop or notebook, because that’s personal preference. (I still take notes by hand). These are simply added items that can offer benefits to your college experience. Here’s my list of everything you need to get by in college.

5 Reasons Why Coming Home for Thanksgiving is the Best

Redhead Rendezvous 5 Reasons Why Coming Home for Thanksgiving is the Best

Unless you’re living under a rock, you’re probably familiar with the Saturday Night Live sketch Back Home Ballers. If you’re not, do yourself a favor and click right here to watch it. This hilarious sketch is not an exaggeration, coming home from college for Thanksgiving is the absolute best.

Winter break is so long the novelty wears off. Most students go away with friends for spring break. Summer break is spent working or interning, so the responsibilities are just as high as they are during the school year. But, Thanksgiving is nothing but lazy, food-induced bliss.

Here are my top five reasons why Thanksgiving break is the absolute best.

It’s nearly halfway through summer (for a college student) and I have not made the most of it! I did go to Europe and that was incredible.
