I think we all can agree when I say that 2016 sucks. However, despite how horrible this year may have been, it is safe to say that it flew by. I perfectly remember ringing in 2016 at my grandma’s house with my older sister. We stayed up till 4 AM learning how to wobble (I still can’t) and watching our favorite music videos (lots of Taylor Swift). This year, I’m celebrating 2017 in Orlando. Stay tuned for travel diaries later this week.
For today’s post, I’ll be recapping my personal highlights from each month of 2016.
The end of the semester is quickly wrapping up! I just wrote a post on coming home for Thanksgiving and now I’m a week away from winter break, meaning I’m almost halfway through my junior year. Finals are approaching, term papers are nearing their due dates, and every last point now counts. It’s crazy to think that in three short semesters, I’ll be done with college.
Since I’m over halfway done with my college career, by now I’ve figured out which items are absolute college essentials. I skipped basic essentials like food, water, and a bed, because that should be self-explanatory, but I also didn’t include a laptop or notebook, because that’s personal preference. (I still take notes by hand). These are simply added items that can offer benefits to your college experience. Here’s my list of everything you need to get by in college.
Unless you’re living under a rock, you’re probably familiar with the Saturday Night Live sketch Back Home Ballers. If you’re not, do yourself a favor and click right here to watch it. This hilarious sketch is not an exaggeration, coming home from college for Thanksgiving is the absolute best.
Winter break is so long the novelty wears off. Most students go away with friends for spring break. Summer break is spent working or interning, so the responsibilities are just as high as they are during the school year. But, Thanksgiving is nothing but lazy, food-induced bliss.
Here are my top five reasons why Thanksgiving break is the absolute best.
Today I’ll be rounding up my top five favorite blogs and Instagrams! These women are a major reason why I decided to start my blog. They truly deserve credit for being so inspiring and for producing such great content on their blogs and Instagrams. This post is a dedication to them.
I’m sure many people don’t know why I created this blog. I’ve followed social media influencers since the beginning days of YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram. However, I just recently began reading blogs. The more I read, the more I wanted to start myself. These ladies are just a few of the ones I became so obsessed with that I finally made the jump and began blogging myself.
